Panel Upgrades and Service Changes

200 and 400 amp upgrades with the permit, the inspection, and the utility coordination handled for you.

What it is

Your main panel takes power from APS or SRP and splits it across every circuit in the house. A lot of West Valley homes still run 100 or 150 amp service that was sized for one AC unit and a garage door opener, not two AC units, a pool pump, and an EV charger. An upgrade replaces the panel, and when the load calls for it the meter base and service conductors, with equipment rated for what your home actually pulls now.

When you need it

  • Breakers trip when the AC and another big appliance run together
  • You want an EV charger, hot tub, or shop and the panel is full
  • The panel is a brand with a known failure record, like Federal Pacific or Zinsco
  • The panel is warm, buzzing, rusted, or shows scorch marks

How we run it

01

Free inspection

We come out, read the panel and the load, and give you a real number in plain English. No charge to look.

02

Permit and utility

We pull the electrical permit with your city and schedule the disconnect and reconnect with APS or SRP.

03

Install and inspect

Old equipment out, new panel in, every circuit landed, labeled, and torqued. The city inspector signs off before we call it done.

Questions

Yes. Every West Valley city requires an electrical permit for service equipment, and the utility will not reconnect without an inspection. We pull the permit and meet the inspector so you never touch the paperwork.

Usually part of one working day. We line up the utility disconnect in the morning and have the inspection and reconnect scheduled so most homes are back on the same day.
